Meet The Pastor

Pastor Derek Sargent lives in Malaga, WA and he has been married to his wife, Tonya, for over two decades. They have been blessed with two incredible daughters: Carley and Taylor. These four Sargent’s are involved in various ministries at Life church in East Wenatchee, WA, including social media, music, counseling, and business administration.

While living in Elk Grove, CA, at the age of 25 Rev. Sargent answered his call to ministry. Under the tutelage and encouragement of Pastor Myles Young, he learned how to allow God to use him in any area that was needed for the work of the Kingdom. This hunger and desire to be used of God led him to have the opportunity to serve as Outreach Pastor at The Rock Church in Elk Grove, CA, as Assistant Pastor at a daughter work in Jackson, CA, and as Assistant Pastor in Carson City, NV. Sister Tonya Sargent oversees administration and ladies ministries at Life Church in the Wenatchee valley.

Pastor Sargent holds a Bachelor’s degree in Church Administration/Church Leadership from Patten University, and he has a Master of Arts in Ministry with a concentration in Christian Ministry and Leadership from Hope International University/AST. He also is adjunct professor for Wilson University and Hope Corps (An Apostolic Foundation Certificate program that trains young people, singles, couples, and retirees to be a positive agent of change in communities around the world).
